This is a dire race in which HIDDENSEE is given the chance to go in again ahead of Gamesters Lady and Bari Bay. Alan Jones' gelding landed a huge gamble when last seen, backed as he was from 33/1 into 11/4 favouritism despite having been pulled up four times on the spin prior to that success. It appears the horse improved massively for dropping to this trip, tackling better ground and the application of cheekpieces so with conditions once again ideal he's given the token vote. It's worth noting the horse was once very smart on the level, so really should be up to scoring off 75. It'd be no surprise were Adage taken out here, which in turn would give stablemate Gamesters Lady solid claims. Jim Best is more than capable of winning these races, in the process often landing some hefty gambles, so a market check is advised. The gelding showed next to nothing last time he raced over hurdles but he's improved on the flat of late and could be up to scoring. Of the remainder Bari Bay isn't without hope at a price, as she's a filly who should really improve for this better ground and has time on her side. Ghaill Force has course and distance placed form off this mark so also has claims, whilst Bridge Of Fermoy may attract some each way support as a prolific enough sort on the level who remains capable of better. This is a poor race and the biggest guide will surely be the market, but without it we'll take Hiddensee.
