Verdict

MANMOON had dropped to a very fair mark when scoring over the C&D at the beginning of January but hasn't had much luck subsequently. He took a crashing fall on a return visit and was probably feeling the effects when running poorly at Huntingdon. He's still well enough handicapped to take this though both Ban Uisce and Quetzal are making their debuts over fences. Neither have shown much over timber and, though this won't take much winning, are best watched for now. Horseshoe Reef was best of these over hurdles but has been beaten a long way on his two latest starts over the bigger obstacles though not as far as Lucky Dancer at Hereford last time.
