In depth

Verdict

A small but competitive field go to post for this novice chase. Kock De La Vesvre is from a top yard and he showed enough in his native France when winning over hurdles to suggest he would make the grade over fences. Fireball Macnamara has ran well in all his chase starts without winning and his latest second behind Extra Chche at Doncaster gives him every chance. Barito was second behind Monte Cristo at Plumpton last time under similar conditions and he has definite place claims. Lord 'n' Master would have a good chance on his win at Sandown but he was slightly disappointing on heavy ground at Newbury last time out. Indeed To Goodness is also in form but he is better over a longer trip.
