In depth

Verdict

This looks a trappy little heat but we will stick with DILIGENT. He has landed his last three front-running starts by a total of 68 lengths, though has risen 29lb in the weights as a consequence. He also goes up a grade here but he scored with plenty to spare last time and is taken to extend his winning spree. Away For Slates is consistent and looks a danger in receipt of weight all round while Sarasota Star is interesting on chase debut. Iconic Muddle can't be ignored but connections reach for a first-time tongue tie and cheekpieces for headstrong Dandolo Du Gite.
