In depth

Verdict

Hard to enthuse too much here but BALLYVONEEN could take advantage of a rather uninspiring turnout. He posted a solid effort here when runner-up on his penultimate outing behind Brunette'Sonly before coming to grief at the first at Warwick last time. With trip and ground to suit he can record an initial career success under Rules. Sieglinde is likely to receive major support on his first run for Tim Vaughan, whose ability to improve new inmates is there for all to see. A one-year lay-off is no concern either and he may well be more than good enough off this mark but is likely to represent little in the way of value. Carriglea Wood, possibly better than the form figures suggest, is also worthy of consideration and completes the shortlist.
