In depth

Verdict

Westbrook Bertie was better last time at Warwick but Northern Poet was a big disappointment at Ascot as he was never travelling. Both Good News and SIROP DE MENTHE (NAP) fell last time but the latter was challenging Saturday’s Chepstow winner Exploiteur at Ffos Las when he came down two out and would have been second at worst had he stood up. He races off the same mark here and his yard is in good form. Dante's View is 0-14 and hard to catch right but has the ability to figure if in the mood with cheekpieces added.
