    Verdict

Another weak affair which has boiled down to a match between Chalcedony and Shamsan with TEAMtalk preference for the latter. The Philip Hobbs-trained gelding had his main market rival back in third, beaten just under two lengths, when successful over the course and distance late last month. The Night Shift gelding is 6lb worse off but will be suited by the forecast good to firm going and is taken to confirm the placings with McCoy once again on board. Boring Goring has made no impact over fences and is likely to struggle once more on these terms.
