Verdict
A few have claims in an interesting little heat but we think that Pacco can continue his progression. Bobby Donald and Bendarshaan are obvious threats whilst Trigger Guard, Royal Prodigy, Brendar and Geography are all capable of taking a hand. The selection justified strong market support to score on his handicap bow at Towcester but meets Bobby Donald on 6lbs worse terms for around 6 lengths after jockey's claims have been taken into account. That win came over 2 miles but the Northamptonshire circuit is a testing one and his breeding suggests that this longer trip will suit him down to the ground. Bendarshaan has a live chance on a line through Wotchalike and is relatively unexposed despite his advancing years. He has to be feared whilst Trigger Guard should be a danger if being ridden closer to the pace this afternoon but Pacco should have enough in the locker to follow-up.
