In depth

Verdict

Of those to have run, Atalanta Surprise has shown promise in two bumpers but two miles around this sharp track might be a bit sharp for him; Deep Sigh showed up for a long way in a reasonable Newton Abbot bumper. Hill Forts Henry showed some promise on his debut although he did pull hard; Lozzy Lee made late headway behind Enitsag in a bumper over a four-furlong shorter trip on his debut and has to be considered; while Radcliffe, from Venetia Williams stable, ran with distinct promise on his debut in a decent Wincanton bumper. Debutants Control Man (from Martin Pipe's stable) and Little Mickey (Nigel Twiston-Davies) must come into the reckoning. The former is by Glacial Storm and he is given as the TEAMtalk selection, particularly if the market speaks in his favour. The latter is by Rock Hopper out of a Diesis mare, so has something to like about him on breeding.
