In depth

Verdict

Trans Express will probably need to drop a few pounds before getting back to winning ways but Mr Pumblechook and Acey Milan are both interesting making their seasonal reappearances in the day’s feature. Not Never has already won twice around here but his long-term future may lie over fences. Debestyman won over track and trip in January, beating a subsequent winner, and Dan Mcgrue was only beaten a short-head here last month on his first run since a wind operation. The latter has only gone up a pound so has every chance of going one better but THEO’S CHARM has also had a recent wind operation and his third to Ballyandy at Uttoxeter at the start of the year is arguably the best form on offer. He hasn’t won for a long time but both victories over timber have come around here
