Verdict

LAYERTHORPE was all out to score at Bangor in August and is 5lb higher but probably has untapped potential over this sort of trip so is taken to complete the double. Norwegian Woods may not have enjoyed the soft ground when a beaten favourite at Kelso and is less exposed than the majority of these. Jimmy Bell is 0-15 but potentially well treated on his return to action and Boher Lad can probably be forgiven last month’s run at Southwell as Alan Phillips’ veteran had won well at that track on an earlier visit.
