Jim Best's Jades Double ran better at Folkestone on Monday but this may come too soon for her and preference is for PETROUPETROV, who gets the verdict ahead of Khatiman. The last mentioned showed little in three starts last term but ran much better on his reappearance when finding just Priest Field too good in a selling hurdle at Hereford last month, form on which he has to be respected in a weak handicap. Ower Empire was fairly well held on his British debut at Exeter recently and of more interest may be Tim Vaughan's Burgess Hill, who showed improved form on his return to action at Newcastle last month. This looks a weak contest and seemingly provides Petroupetrov with an ideal opportunity to open his account. Richard Phillips has his team in better form now than for some time so lack of a recent run need not be of concern and he looks worth chancing on his return to action.
