An interesting contest where the suggestion is STONEY'S TREASURE ahead of Fabulous Fred and Flanagan. A penalty certainly won't be easy to shoulder in this company but we're hopeful that Alan King's charge will prove capable of doing so. He showed ability in bumpers before making a winning hurdling bow at Lingfield in heavy ground and this gelding, who is from a good jumping family, may be able to follow up. Fabulous Fred was beaten by The Red Laird in a bumper at this track when a short price and he has been prominent in the market for all of his visits to the track. He'll handle the conditions and should go close but may be vulnerable at this trip. Flanagan showed promise on debut and is worth bearing in mind as is Quiet Bob who was entitled to need his reappearance at Exeter at the start of December. Rey Nacarado won his sole start in an Irish point and needs a market check but preference is for Stoney's Treasure who has proven form under Rules and in the ground.
