    Verdict

LISP was a useful performer over the smaller obstacles and made a promising start to his chasing career when third at Warwick. He made mistakes at the final two obstacles that day but still wasn’t beaten far and normal improvement should see him land this with the minimum of fuss. He gets 5lb from De Plotting Shed, who was handed a beginners’ chase at Newton Abbot in August when the favourite was pulled up and the second favourite fell when in front. Espion De Saflo faces a very stiff task on these terms and Flaminger will find easier opportunities than this.
