In depth

Verdict

Cadmar ran well for a long way on his hurdles bow at Sandown, despite racing keenly. He’ll know more today but GINGER DU VAL made his debut over timber in decent company at Wincanton and wasn’t given a hard time once his chance had gone. The mare had useful form in bumpers in France and looks a nice prospect. Gary Moore runs tow and both should be thereabouts with Dorking Lad having placed in all four starts over timber so far and the four-year-old Ray's The One entitled to improve on his fourth at Kempton. Loughan is proving expensive to follow and ran a shocker in a jumpers’ bumper last month.
