Stamina may be an issue but Gold Opera ran very well in a Grade 3 handicap at Aintree and is a pound lower. Weststreet just got the better of Misfits over 4m at Hexham and the pair meet on the same terms. Achill Road Boy arrives in good form as does Late Date, though both of the latter’s chase victories have come at Sedgefield. Sandy Thomson runs three and CAPARD KING (NAP) could be the best treated of the trio. It’s a long time since the 10-year-old got his head in front but he’s attracted market support in both starts for new connections and was still prominent when blundering his chance away last time at Kelso. He’s preferred to veteran Harry The Viking and recent Wetherby runner-up Blue Kascade.
