Special Portrait won this last year and hinted at a revival when runner-up over a similar trip at Sedgefield earlier this month in a race in which Supreme Builder was pulled up. Sotovik has the past form to figure but was beaten 20 lengths in his last appearance between flags. Tommysteel fared better at Morpeth but not as well as Accordingtotheboss. He beat a decent sort in My Moment and will be a factor if staying the extra. TWELVE PACES is an out-and-out stayer and, though racing under Rules for the first time in two years, can go very close today at big odds. Noir Et Vert has a bit to find with Special Portrait on the form book but looks best of the rest.
