Rody has been a revelation since switching to fences and has won four of his six starts. He carries a penalty for his latest success at Wincanton but isn't out of this. Frontier Spirit ran well at Haydock after winning at Newbury but Renard is proving expensive to follow while this will surely prove too sharp for Mac Aeda, a staying-on second to the rejuvenated Battle Group over 3m1f at Aintree having finished fourth over 3m4f at Haydock earlier. MICHEAL FLIPS finally got his act together at Ludlow two weeks ago under 5lb claimer James Banks, who takes the ride again here. He's gone up 9lb but still looks fairly treated on his runs behind For Non Stop and Sir Des Champs around this time last year and could go in again. Quincy Des Pictons has been fighting a losing battle with the handicapper this season but was a good second at Haydock last time and should be pressing the places with a repeat of that effort.
