A rather disappointing turn out for the finale with Hirapour the pick ahead of Phardante Flyer and Scarletti. The Ian Williams-trained Hirapour comes here in excellent heart after recent wins at Exeter and Ludlow. The son of Kahyasi relishes fast ground and remains on a fair mark so should take plenty of beating under a promising conditional rider. Scarletti has proved a most consistent hurdler but may just need the outing following a six-month break. Phardante Flyer was a useful performer at his best but has not been the easiest to train and needs to show more than on his belated return to figure.
