SOLWAY SAM could show up well at a rewarding price and is preferred to Deise Dan, Acquisitive and Montoya's Son amongst others. The selection has had just the two runs over hurdles to date and was outclassed on the second of them when no match for Peddlers Cross at Haydock. He didn't fare that much better on his initial attempt but he did win twice in bumpers and it would be no surprise to see him make his presence felt in this company. Deise Dan has plenty of experience to his name and probably sets the standard in this contest and he may well win but he's had a fair few chances now and may not be one to take too short a price about. Acquisitive was well held on his hurdling bow but showed ability in bumpers as did Mr Tallyman whilst Montoya's Son has done enough to think that he can win a race of this nature and is another that should go well but Solway Sam makes plenty of each-way appeal providing that the price is right.
