Full Irish was easily the best of these over hurdles and looks to be of a similar level of ability over the larger obstacles so is given the vote to resume winning ways with Paddy The Optimist and Darnley rated the main dangers. Paddy The Optimist stepped up on previous efforts when landing a selling handicap at Chepstow last time but this represents a big step up in class and a bigger threat is likely to come from Newcastle winner Darnley, although the gelding was readily outclassed in better company at Kelso last time. Salvage and Ambushed look the pick of the remainder but, in all reality, this should go to Full Irish who looks different class to his rivals.
