In depth

Verdict

Ruttan Lake, successful twice in point-to-points this year, could well improve now with Tim Vaughan but would need to having been pulled up in seven of his 12 previous runs under Rules. TARQUINIUS won at Lingfield in February when with Charlie Mann. He had a sighter over hurdles for new connections at Kilbeggan last month and will strip fitter here and, in first-time blinkers, may be good enough to defy top weight against these. Colditz still looks a shade high in the weights and Hurricane Jack looked very one-paced over C&D last time.
