In depth

Verdict

It's very hard to oppose Gordon Elliott's GALVIN, who has looked impressive on both starts and should provide another winner for Richard Johnson as the champion jockey looks to reduce the lead of Harry Skelton in the title battle. The Gold Well gelding looks an above-average recruit and should complete the three-timer. Thepensionfund displayed plenty of promise on his bumper debut and could well make into a useful sort over timber. Colwinston gives the Irish invasion a stronger hand and is respected along with An Fear Ciuin, a winner on the Flat in Hamilton in early July.
