In depth

Verdict

A wide open bumper rounds off the card and as usual in these types of events the market will be all informative but the principals look to be Barton Belle,Bleu Pois and Ballyvogue and the narrow vote is given to Bleu Pois. The selection was a fair third on his debut behind Casewick Mist despite running very green. He is sure to have learnt from the experience and as that form has since been franked given nominal improvement he will be hard to beat.Barton Belle rates the main danger on his debut third behind Scribano Eile and is another that is sure to improve so should be noted in the market. Ballyvogue is unbeaten in points and is another to watch in the market but the suspicion is he will be seen to better effect over a longer trip in time. Amstecos won well last time but will do well to give weight and a beating to some less exposed types. Of the remainder Castle Gunner is a Gunner B gelding out of a lightly-raced mare and is another with place claims but in a race where the market may well tell all for the winner we return to Bleu Pois.
