In depth

Verdict

Big-And-Bold gets the vote in this wide open handicap chase with Contract Scotland and Alfy Rich rating the main dangers. The selection was a fair fourth behind Green Ideal last time out. The step up in trip looks sure to suit and with this slightly faster ground also in his favour he is taken to score. Contract Scotland rates the main danger on his latest second behind Rifleman but that form has since been let down and for that reason he is opposed. Alfy Rich is another that could go well on his latest third behind Jimmy Bond but all his best form is on a much softer surface and he looks opposable on that basis. Toran Road looks to be on a handy mark and could go well at a price if his jumping holds up but that is a big id. Of the remainder Mighty Matters is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but he looks weighted up to his best and in a race where few can be ruled out for the winner we return to Big And Bold.
