Verdict

Not a strong race and a market check is strongly advised but without it we'll take GOLDEN VIEW to beat Ciannte and Float My Boat. Our pick won a point-to-point in 2009 before a year-long absence, making his performance at Kelso an admirable one. The gelding has been given 74 days to recover from those exertions and can get off the mark under rules providing Sam Thomas makes this enough of a stamina test. Ciannte is the biggest threat on what we've seen so far and the yard do well in this type of contest. Like our pick she's a point winner who ran well in a bumper last time and there may not be much between them, although both will improve when jumping an obstacle. Float My Boat has experience of the track but may want softer ground so is opposed despite the booking of Jason Maguire, while Buraimi Oasis represents a yard who have a fine record in this type of event and therefore needs a look in the market. In a tough closer, Golden View is our tentative pick.
