In depth

Verdict

FLOOD DEFENCE, just beaten off a higher mark at Sedgefield last season, looked as though he’d benefited from wind surgery when fourth at the same track 11 days ago and has decent claims in this. Deputy Jones was beaten less than a length off this mark at Taunton in March and Cartmel third Rock On Tommy also goes on the shortlist, though Do No Wrong has been living up to his name and made a winning start in handicaps at Sedgefield last month.
