Verdict

Cartmel form doesn’t always stand up to scrutiny so Border Breaker’s easy win at that course in May is best treated with caution, though he has won off a higher mark over track and trip in the past. Nefyn Bay is also a course and distance winner but he’s been looking in the handicapper’s grip in recent starts. I'm An Izz Wizz won three times last summer but shot up the weights as a consequence and hasn’t raced since September. He has to give a stone to ALIZEE DE JANEIRO, who was only raised 3lb for winning over 2m here in May and is still unexposed over the larger obstacles. Perfect Timing may still be a few pounds too high judged on his third at Market Rasen.
