Italian import Barkis has been placed in three of his five hurdles starts, though the form is nothing to write home about. Border Breaker has been second twice at Hexham recently but was well beaten on both occasions. SOLWAY DANDY was very keen and returning from a long absence when sixth here in April but that looks decent form in the context of a race like this and Lisa Harrison’s 10-year-old can record a third course win on only his second try over this longer trip. Derintoher Yank also tries a new trip but Tangolan won this last year and races off the same mark, though didn’t show much back over hurdles at Market Rasen.
