Kinnaird Park is given the vote to land the finale after a promising racecourse debut in a similar event. Held up from off the pace, he made eye-catching progress in the closing in the later stages to take third place. Present Gesture, formally trained by Alan Swinbank, made a winning debut for Gordon Elliot in a poor lady riders bumper at Downpatrick. Triton finished one place behind the selection at Perth and there should not be much to choose between those once again. What A Cliche is a very interesting debutant from the Pauline Robson yard who have been firing in the winners of late. He is a half-brother to the former top bumper performer Beechcourt so market support would be very significant but Kinnaird Park gets the vote.
