Paradise Bay could make it a good day for Gordon Elliot and gets the vote to land it after a convincing victory over course and distance last time. He handicapper has taken a dim view of that win and as a consequence he races off a 19lb higher mark but has the profile of an improver. Summer Soul made a very pleasing UK debut for Lucinda Russell, on his first start for her since being recruited from the Dermot Weld yard. Quick ground is the key to him and although he is hard to catch right, he is a leading contender. Front Rank is weighted to get closer to the selection but it is hard to see him turning around the form of their recent clash while the same can be said of Tarkani. Shoudawoudacouda has yet to get off the mark in 16 attempts but blinkers appeared to rejuvenate him last time although whether they have the same effect again remains to be seen. Paradise Bay gets the vote to land this handicap hurdle.
