Last year’s St Leger hero Capri has his first start since winning at Naas in April. The Ballydoyle colt has every chance if at his best having beaten WALDGEIST in the Irish Derby last summer but the latter is on a roll and landed a hat-trick with a victory in the Group 1 Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in July. Andre Fabre’s colt may prove too sharp for Capri on this occasion and is also preferred to stable companions Cloth Of Stars and Talismanic, who filled the places in last year’s renewal of this. Clincher is a Grade 2 winner in Japan but could be found wanting in this company.
