Magic Wand has failed to threaten in a couple of Group 1 races since landing the Ribblesdale at Ascot though finished in front of stablemate Bye Bye Baby in the Yorkshire Oaks. David Lanigan’s Worth Waiting also has a bit to prove at this level despite beating Zarkamiya in a Group 3 event at Deauville last month. Kitesurf won a Group 2 at the latter track recently and is steadily improving for Andre Fabre but a speculative vote goes to the progressive filly WELL TIMED. She won the German Oaks over 1m3f at Dusseldorf in good style and may well improve further over this longer trip with Maxime Guyon’s presence another positive.
