Oldenway, Sir Haydn, and Lawood are the three against the field here, with Oldenway just having the edge. Richard Fahey and Paul Hannigan have turned into a very useful combination and the selection can give them another success. This son of Most Welcome bounced back to form at Doncaster last week, chasing home Brave Dane in the lady riders handicap. With this opposition looking very modest he can go one better today. Sir Haydn hasn't raced since running a gallant third behind Coat Of Honour at Brighton in July, but if stripping fit could go very close. Lawood hails from a yard in form and had some decent Irish form not too long ago. After two recent outings on the all-weather he should be ready to run for his life and could be a big danger to all. Maritime Blues is another worth a mention having landed a couple of reasonable events last season, but for the winner we return to Oldenway.
