Market Avenue gets the vote here with Kirkham Abbey and Barton Sands the others for the shortlist in a competitive finale. The selection hails from an in-form yard and her latest disappointing run at Chester can be forgiven because her saddle slipped. She had previously won well when defeating Incroyable at Newcastle, and that form has since been franked, so she should be difficult to beat here with conditions to suit. Kirkham Abbey rates the main danger, but he was a little disappointing last time and he looks to have plenty on at these weights so for that reason we are happy to take him on. Barton Sands ran well in an amateur riders' race at Goodwood last time but he has never won in this grade and a place looks to be the best that he can hope for. Champion Lion has been running well of late and is another that could have place prospects, but his record of one win from 19 runs hardly inspires confidence, and for the winner we return to Market Avenue who has plenty in her favour and is taken to score.
