John Gosden will want to win a division of this maiden named after his Derby and Arc winner and AZAM, ahead of newcomer Tartini, seems to fit the bill. A half-brother to the useful Playful Act, who has won three times up to 1m2f this year, he would probably have finished closer than fourth on his debut at Newmarket had he not been hampered and has bags of scope. Dhajeej was second over this trip at Yarmouth on his first start and is another open to plenty of improvement. Special Relation and Melting Dew are other likely improvers and Godolphin's Alaik is the first foal to race of a Cumberland Lodge winner so shouldn’t fail through lack of stamina.
