Verdict

AVENUE DES CHAMPS (NAP) has won both starts on the all-weather this year and returned a clear winner over a similar trip to this at Chelmsford last time. He’s won on Turf before and the hat-trick beckons for Jane Chapple-Hyams’ charge. Maoi Chinn Tire ended last year with a win over 2m at Catterick while All For The Best scored over today’s distance at Wolverhampton in October. Paddys Runner and Caged Lightning have both been hurdling though the former has yet to win in this code and the latter’s three wins on the Flat so far all came on the all-weather.
