In depth

Verdict

Donegal Shore looks the safest proposition here and gets the nod over Eddies Jewel and Befriend. The selection rarely runs a bad race and ran up to form at Southwell last time. He had no chance with the winner but was clear second best and had some decent winners behind. If continuing in the same vein he will be hard to beat here. Eddies Jewel does come here in winning form having beaten a modest field at Musselburgh last time. He quickened nicely to win by over three lengths on that occasion and will be hard to keep out of the frame today. Befriend hasn't won since her two-year-old debut but showed her time wasn't far away when second to Eforetta at Southwell last time. Of the others Adalar and Fabrian are both worthy of a mention, but Donegal Shore is the most consistent of these and gets a sporting vote.
