      Verdict

      Diffident Spirit ended a long losing run with a victory in heavy going at Leicester and is 6lb higher. But NINE ELMS (NAP) is at his best here having recorded all three previous wins on Turf at this venue including last week’s success and Roy Bowring’s charge is taken to defy a 3lb rise. Eponina has returned to a winning mark though was beaten by Victoria Falls at Wolverhampton last month and the latter has her first outing on Turf.
