Verdict
A half-brother to high-class duo Hillstar and Crystal Capella, CRYSTAL OCEAN was only beaten a neck on last year’s debut at Newbury. This longer trip will suit Sir Michael Stoute’s Dante and Derby entry and he gets the nod. Okool’s five-length defeat at the hands of this week’s Craven Stakes winner Eminent looks better in hindsight but Immortalised and Theglasgowwarrior were both well beaten in the same race at Doncaster last time. Of the newcomers, Nathan is related to a Listed winner while Peterport and Forever Song represent powerful yards and are both in the Derby.
