Romantic went backwards when encountering soft going at Yarmouth in October but he's not easily dismissed given Sir Henry Cecil has won two of the last three renewals. The Godolphin colt Morning Coat is a half-brother to multiple winner Yamal and has to be considered on his debut but preference goes to KASHGAR. There was some cut in the ground when he made his debut over today's trip at Yarmouth recently and though he finished a creditable third, Michael Bell's Hernando colt would have gone even closer with a clear run. Aliante was still beaten 10 lengths when second at Southwell last time and the returning Ballyheigue could prove a bigger threat.
