    Verdict

Seen The Lyte’s winning run came to an end with a defeat at Chester last month. She missed the break on that occasion and returns to the minimum trip today so is not easily dismissed but KODIAC EXPRESS is preferred. The latter finished well ahead of Formidable Kitt when winning at Windsor a fortnight ago and a 4lb rise may not be enough to prevent another bold bid. Soft ground may have been an excuse for Puds running below par at Goodwood recently and she can be given a chance while the returning Wirral Girl may well have improved since last season and is worth a second glance.
