In an interesting maiden, Given A Choice gets the call over Banchieri, Mutamaasek, Catch A Star and Red River Rock. The selection holds plenty of good entries and showed a lot of promise on his debut when fourth to Windsor Knot at Newmarket. With the winner having gone on to score at Group 3 level and the runner-up landing his maiden, the form looks good and this half-brother to Bandari can set about justifying his entries. From the Godolphin stable, Banchieri has shown solid promise in two runs and warrants serious consideration for this. The 50,000 guineas purchase Fen Game is also interesting from John Gosden's stable on his debut. Mutamaasek can be forgiven his soft-ground disappointment last time following a decent debut, and he could go well, while Red River Rock came from off the pace to finish third at Folkestone last time and the form has been franked since and looks solid enough. Speightstown is well bred and should improve on his debut, while the 180,000-guinea purchase, Catch A Star, hails from the Neville Callaghan stable, whose juveniles are running pretty well, and has shown a decent level of promise so far also. Overall, though, the vote goes to Given A Choice.
