    Verdict

Kind Gesture is the first foal of a Listed winner but Roger Varian’s yard is struggling for form at present and PEARL REEF is preferred. The latter finished behind a subsequent winner and a future Listed runner-up when fourth at Wolverhampton last month and gets the nod on that form. Three Diamonds may improve for this extra distance and the same comment applies to Thirsk third Pink Carnation.
