Verdict

James Bethell has his string firing on all cylinders and there's every reason to suspect that GROUND GINGER will stay the additional quarter-mile having finished second over 1m4f at Beverley. That was only a seller but this isn't much better and he gets 9lb from Chepstow 2m winner Noor Al Haya and 12lb from Uganda Glory, who was only beaten a short-head over 1m4f at Brighton last month but may not want to travel much further. Polar Forest handled the step up to 1m4f at Chepstow but has been raised a further pound in the handicap for that effort, which seems harsh.
