The market will be useful in assessing this field in which Jozafeen sets a modest standard. DORMER FLEET is the nominal pick to leave his debut form behind but there are plenty of alternatives. John Gosden's charge was relatively short in the market ahead of his Kempton debut but he fluffed his lines completely and trailed home 20 lengths behind the winner. It's to be hoped that he can post a more professional performance this time around. Pont De Nuit has also finished some way off the pace the last twice but this is considerably weaker and he may also be suited by the drop in trip so he's considered. Jozafeen and Pavement Games were both asked to tilt at windmills at Ascot but will be more at home in this company though neither looks nailed on to achieve a maiden success. Cookie Galore and Singin' The Blues both need to pull out more in order to figure and it wouldn't be a great shock to see a newcomer land the spoils. Layla's Lad, Vanilla Rum, Mighty Aphrodite and Kenswick all make some appeal and have to be of interest in this company. The market may help clear the murky waters and reflect the likely action on the track but the obligatory vote at this stage goes to Dormer Fleet.
