      Verdict

      SOOTABILITY, Royal Variety and Divinity came home first, fourth and sixth in a decent novice event on good to soft ground at Thirsk and placings should be confirmed here despite the imposition of a 7lb penalty for the Fahey filly. Her finishing effort that day suggested she'll handle the step up to this trip. Both of those behind can be expected to get closer on these terms but there are also a couple of interesting newcomers to consider in Cape Islay and Sweet Pearl. Both represent powerful stables and the market should reflect expectations with the former preferred of the pair on paper.
