In depth

Verdict

Doc Hay has proved best over the minimum trip so far but Swiss Cross and York Glory showed a bit more last time and could be in the firing-line. Steps is another with claims if back to his best and Docofthebay can race off a lower mark on Turf and is preferred to inconsistent stablemate Masked Dance. Mon Brav still looks a shade high in the handicap but PIAZZA SAN PIETRO went close in similar company at Goodwood on last month's reappearance and it could be his turn today.
