This division of the fillies' maiden looks to be between Safqa and Zaafran, with Stepping Stones also suggested to fill the frame, and we prefer Safqa. Admittedly there isn't much to choose between the leading pair on what we've seen so far, but the Barry Hills-trained filly just looks to have that bit more speed for this switch back to a mile, and the trainer continues to go well. She wasn't beaten far when running out of petrol over 10 furlongs last time and although that will ultimately be her trip, this may be her best at present. Zaafran is dropping back in trip as well, although the way she ran at Epsom suggested that further would suit better, and so she is passed over, while Stepping Stones needs to find a good 10lb or so to be competitive, but should make up some of that in improvement for her Warwick debut. But Safqa looks to have the edge here and gets the vote.
