Verdict

A wide open handicap rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Cobalt Blue, Cellermaster, Jakarmi and Santa Caterina and the tentative vote goes to Cobalt Blue. The selection showed improved form when defeating Son Of Thunder. He remains at the right end of the weights and with conditions in his favour he is taken to win again. Jakarmi has been in the form of his life of late and rates the main danger. He won well last time out when defeating Whitgift Rock but he is rising in the weights and this looks more competitive so he is over looked on this occasion. Cellermaster is another worthy of respect he was a fair third behind Billy Bathwick last time, is one of the least exposed in the field and is open to improvement. Of the remainder Santa Caterina is from a shrewd yard and looks to be on a handy mark and is worth noting in the market but for the winner we return to Cobalt Blue.
